ETHICS AND PUBLICATION MALPRACTICE STATEMENT – AIIS’26

AIIS’26 is committed for maintaining the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct in all stages of the publication process. All authors, reviewers, and editorial members must follow the ethical principles outlined below:

Responsibilities of Authors
  1. Authors must submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  2. All methods, data, analyses, and results must be truthfully and accurately presented—no fabrication, falsification, or manipulation is allowed.
  3. Proper citations and acknowledgements must be given for all referenced ideas, data, or previous work.
  4. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate rejection.
  5. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence their research.
  6. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals or conferences at the same time is unethical and not allowed.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
  1. Reviewers must provide fair, objective, and constructive feedback to help improve the manuscript.
  2. Evaluation must be based on academic merit, not on the authors’ identity, gender, background, nationality, or personal beliefs.
  3. All manuscripts under review must be kept confidential and not used for personal benefit.
  4. Reviewers should disclose any conflicts of interest and decline the review if they cannot remain unbiased.
Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
  1. The editorial board makes decisions based solely on quality, originality, and relevance to the conference theme.
  2. The board must ensure a fair, unbiased, and confidential review process.
  3. The board is responsible for identifying ethical issues such as plagiarism, data manipulation, or conflicts of interest.
  4. In case of confirmed malpractice, the board may take actions such as rejecting papers, retracting content, or informing the authors’ institutions.
  5. The board is committed to full transparency in handling ethical matters.
Handling Ethical Misconduct
  1. AIIS’26 follows a clear process for addressing unethical behaviour.
  2. If misconduct is suspected, the editorial board conducts a thorough and fair investigation.
  3. If proven, actions may include:
    • Rejection of the manuscript
    • Notification to the authors’ institutions
    • Ban on future submissions to AIIS events
  4. All inquiries are carried out with confidentiality, fairness, and transparency.
Plagiarism Prevention
  1. All submitted manuscripts will be checked using advanced plagiarism detection software.
  2. Papers with a similarity index above 10% will be reviewed carefully, and authors may be asked to revise or justify overlaps.
  3. Confirmed cases of plagiarism will result in rejection and may attract further disciplinary action.
