Amritsar Group of Colleges organized a Press Conference in Patna

Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) organized the Press Conference at Patna, Bihar to start with its Admission Session 2022-2023. Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, Dean Campus Relations and Ms. Dipti Malhotra – Dean UGC represented the Institute during the conference.
Briefing on the occasion, Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, said the objective of this conference is to start with the Admission Session 2022-2023. Adding further, he said that the Institute has always supported and favoured the students from Bihar because of their extra ordinary calibre to excel and succeed. To cater the needs of the students belonging to Bihar, the Institute has set up special Hostels for them providing all the facilities like Wifi, Gymnasium, Indoor and outdoor sports arena having sports like Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, Basket Ball, Chess,Table Tennis, and Football.

The Institute prides itself in sharing that till date 772 students from Bihar have taken admission in various courses of the college.

Guiding about various scholarships schemes he further added that keeping in purview today’s scenario AGC had offered scholarships worth Rs 6,50,00000 which has proved to be helpful for both parents and students in the difficult times of pandemic. Continuing the legacy, the Institute will keep on offering the scholarships to the students who wish to seek admission in the session 2022-2023.

Also, the students belonging to SC/ST Category who wish to take admissions in BA.LLB and LLB courses can register themselves through Bihar Government Scholarship schemes. The Institute has already started accepting the applications from for BA.LLB and LLB courses. Further , applications are also invited for admissions in various courses through DRCC.

Sharing his views about the Institute, Dr. Tejpal said, that AGC is accredited by NAAC in the category of Grade ‘A’. The institute also boasts itself on being accredited by NBA (twice). AGC has also been conferred with the Autonomous Status by Universities Grant Commission (UGC).He also added that recently NAAC Peer team visited Amritsar group of Colleges (AGC) for cycle-3 accreditation on 22-23, April 2022. Through this visit AGC is expecting A+ grade from NAAC.

Speaking about Centres of Excellence he added that, the objective of each Centre of Excellence (Robotics & Industrial Automation, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification ,Big Data (8th Lab In The World And 2nd In India) is to extend a disciplinary and research-oriented approach to teaching and learning which we believe escalates an innovative attitude in students. Taking in account toady’s market trends AGC has established as separate department for International Collaboration as well. The Department is catering to the needs of the students who are looking for International Internships and further studies abroad. The Department also address the collaborative programs like (2+2 and 3+1) with the Universities of International Repute. In 2+2 Program student can study two years in India and two years in Canada. In (3+1) student can study three years in India and one year in Canada. Under this collaboration various services International Internships, Semester Exchange Programs in countries like Canada, Dubai, USA, Germany and Russia have been successfully arranged.

AGC’s slogan Right Place for a Bright Career is self-explanatory for which Amritsar Group of Colleges stands. AGC is gratified to mention that 3958+ students have been placed in more than 282 companies till date. Just to name few students from Bihar Avishek Kumar (CSE), Sachin Kumar (CSE), Shammi Alam (CSE), Shivansh Dubey (CSE) have been Placed in Byju’s with the package of 10 lakhs per annum. To set a new benchmark in terms of placements today, AGC Alumni including students from Bihar as well is well settled in companies like Google, Amazon. Infosys, TCS, Adobe, Dell, L&T, Byju’s, Qatar Airways and many more.

AGC also takes the honour for the acclamation of the students from various countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East Africa, and other countries.
