About EDC

The Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as an important driver of economic growth of the country. The aim of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at AGC is to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial qualities among the students for their own ventures. AGC EDC strengthens the entrepreneurial activities and inculcates the spirit of entrepreneurship among our students of all trades and even Govt. of India has recognized the importance of entrepreneurship and has introduced programs like "Make in India" & "Start-up India”. The College is committed to provide infrastructure, technical support, guidance, mentoring to the students for innovative products and services for the welfare of the society and the nation.

The AGC/EDC assists all the aspirants for their start up idea into a real business. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell was constituted in the college with a dedicated team of actively working faculty carrying industry exposure along with student representatives. Aspiring engineer entrepreneurs are groomed with the necessary inputs on how to be a successful entrepreneur through workshops and seminars by eminent people from the industry. At AGC/EDC, we encourage the students to consider self-employment as a career option, providing necessary training. The cell also organizes different activities and events frequently to train and motivate the students on entrepreneurship.

    Objective
  • To create an environment for self-employment and entrepreneurship development through formal and non-formal programs.
  • To introduce the concept of entrepreneurship in curriculum at diploma and degree levels.
  • To develop management personnel at appropriate levels for the non-corporate and unorganized sectors like education, rural development, small-scale industry etc.
  • To utilize the infrastructure facilities and technically trained manpower for the development of non-corporate and unorganized sectors.
  • Motivate students to develop their own startups.
