Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC), Amritsar has started its new academic admission session 2022-23 in Rajasthan. Dr. Gaurav Tejpal, Dean Campus Relations, AGC while addressing the press said that AGC has tied up with Kota based Dolphin Education. Further AGC is committed to provide scholarship upto Rs 1.5 lakh for Rajasthan students including Kota along with placements in reputed companies.
Dr. Tejpal informed that AGC is recognized by NAAC in the category of “A” grade. AGC has also been awarded Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). He told that during the Corona period, the education system was completely disturbed, despite this, the institute, while continuing the education of students from all over the country including Rajasthan, was able to get the students placed in good companies. In this sequence, through Dolphin Education, the institute has started admission in various types of bachelor courses including engineering, pharmacy, law, agriculture, fashion designing for the students of Rajasthan through Dolphin Education. Students are not entitled for the direct admission for courses run by the institute. In order to seek the admission the student will be given admission on merit basis or preference will be given to the students who are enrolled in JEE Main-2022 for engineering.
Sharif Khan, director Dolphin Education, said that students of Rajasthan, including Kota, will be eligible for scholarship if they register through Dolphin Education's mobile app Dolphie.
Manpreet Singh, Admission Counsellor, Rajasthan, AGC informed that the institute has got good support from the students of Rajasthan, apart from this, the students of Rajasthan have also got good placement through the institute. For the scholarship, the concerned student will have to register on the institute's web portal or Dolphin Education's Dolphin Live.
He said that keeping in mind the interest of the students, AGC has also established a separate department for International Collaborations. The department is catering to the needs of students who are looking for international internship and study abroad. Under this collaboration various services like International Internship, semester exchange programs have been successfully arranged in countries like Canada, Dubai, USA, Germany and Russia. The college has signed MoU’s with more than 50 Institutes of International Repute.
Briefing further he said that the Students of Rajasthan, including Kota, are provided education at a lower fee than other institutions. Accommodation and mess facility has also been arranged for the students. In the academic session 2021-22 by the institute, the students were placed at an annual package of Rs 6 to 15 lakhs.
Dr. Gaurav Tejpal said that Advocate Amit Sharma (Chairman, Amritsar Group of Colleges), thought that there should be a scope of such education in which all middle class students can get International level Education in affordable fee and finally placements in multinational companies, and today his dream has become a reality.
