Departmental Society activities

1. Students participated in one day seminar at SDGR University on “First 1000 days: the journey begins here” on 17th September, 2024.
2. An Expert Talk on “Universal Human Values” was conducted on 21st November, 2024 (one day), delivered by Ms. Binod Kaur, Head of the Department of Applied Sciences and Coordinator, Value Education Cell.
3. The Creative Fusion: Successfully organized by the PSS Cultural and Wellness Society in collaboration with the Department of Fashion Designing, held from 30 September to 1 October 2024, fostering creativity and interdisciplinary engagement.
4. Children’s Day Celebration: Effectively conducted by the PSS Cultural and Wellness Society on 14 November 2024, promoting social awareness, joy, and community involvement among participants.
5. Student attended a one day international Conference on Synergy in Healthcare: Innovations Across at Dept. of Paramedical Sciences, Khalsa College of Engineering & Technology Asr on 25th April 2025
6. A Storytelling & Anecdote Sharing Event was organized by the PSS Cultural and Wellness Society on 31 January 2025 to encourage creative expression, communication skills, and reflective thinking among students.
7. A Talent Hunt Programme was conducted by the PSS Cultural and Wellness Society on 21 February 2025 to identify, showcase, and nurture diverse talents across cultural and artistic domains.
8. Students participated in Nutrition Awareness Campaign on 2nd May, 2025 at Government High School (GHS), Meharbanpura, Jandiala Guru emphasis on interative sessions on the benefits of a balanced diet.
9. Science Fest 2025, an academic and innovation-oriented event, was organized by the PSS Knowledge and Quiz Committee on 23 April 2025 to promote scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and collaborative learning.
10. A Guest Lecture on “Laboratory Safety and Waste Management” was conducted on 7 August 2025 by Dr. Jeevan Jyoti Mohindru, Associate Professor, DAV College, Amritsar, to enhance awareness of safe laboratory practices and biomedical waste handling.
11. A Student Induction Programme was organized from 19 August to 5 September 2025 to familiarize newly admitted students with institutional policies, academic structure, and professional ethics.
12. An Industrial Visit to Preet Hospital was organized for B.Sc. Operation Theater Technology (3rd Semester) students on 18 September 2025 to provide practical exposure to operation theater setup and clinical protocols.
13. An Industrial Visit to Preet Hospital was conducted on 24 September 2025 for B.Sc. Radiology Imaging Technology (3rd Semester) and Operation Theater Technology (1st Semester) students to enhance understanding of hospital workflows and diagnostic services.
14. An Industrial Visit to Preet Hospital was organized on 25 September 2025 for B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Sciences (3rd Semester) and Operation Theater Technology (1st Semester) students to provide hands-on insight into laboratory operations and patient care services.
15. A Guest Lecture on “Introduction to ABO and Rh Blood Group System” was delivered on 15 October 2025 by Dr. Kaveri Joshi, Consultant Hematologist, Uppal Neuro Hospital, Amritsar, to strengthen foundational knowledge in hematology and transfusion science.
16. A Health & Happiness Fair featuring one-to-one diet counselling sessions was organized on 10 December 2025 to promote community health awareness, preventive nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices.
