Dr. Sandeep Kad is currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amritsar Group of Colleges. He has over 23 years of extensive experience in teaching and academic administration. He has served as Registrar of Amritsar Group of Colleges from April 2017 to February 2022 and also held the position of Member Secretary, Academic Council, Amritsar Group of Colleges. In these roles, he made significant contributions to academic governance, policy formulation, and institutional development.
Dr. Kad is a member of the Board of Studies(UG and PG) in Computer Science and Engineering at I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, where he actively contributes to curriculum design and academic planning at the university level. He is a recipient of the ISTE Best Teacher Award and has also received certificates of appreciation from Amritsar Group of Colleges for his contributions to research and publication. He has more than 55 research publications in reputed international journals and conference proceedings and has successfully guided 14 M.Tech dissertations. His primary area of research expertise is Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks. He has served as a reviewer for several reputed journals, including Springer Nature’s Wireless Personal Communications and Telecommunication Systems, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, and the Gazi University Journal of Science.
Dr. Kad has contributed extensively to academic and professional activities as a session chair for three international and two national conferences. He has delivered expert lectures in IKG Punjab Technical University–sponsored Faculty Development Programmes. He was also instrumental in organizing Faculty Development Programmes and an AICTE-sponsored National Seminar under the AICTE–VAANI scheme.
