The AGC Musical Club is constituted with the objective of promoting artistic excellence, fostering cultural values, and providing a common platform for students to develop their musical talents through structured training, performances, competitions, and community engagement.The Club shall function under the guidance of the College Management through the Dean Students' Affairs / Central Cultural Committee (PACS), with due approval of the competent authority.

Objectives of AGC MUSICAL CLUB

• Organize auditions for selection of members.
• Conduct regular practice sessions.
• Organize musical mehfils and cultural programmes.
• Conduct workshops by professional artists.
• Encourage participation in youth festivals.
• Develop leadership through student committees.
• Promote Indian classical, folk, western, instrumental and fusion music.
• Maintain institutional musical standards.

Membership

Membership shall be open to all bona fide students of AGC.

Eligibility

The applicant must:

• Be a regular student.
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
• Demonstrate musical talent or interest.
• Agree to abide by the Club Constitution.

Membership shall remain valid for one academic session.

Selection Procedure

Selection shall be through:

• Open Audition
• Performance Assessment
• Musical Aptitude
• Rhythm Test
• Stage Presence
• Interview (where applicable)

The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final and binding.

Duties of team

President

• Preside over meetings.
• Lead the Club.
• Coordinate with faculty.
• Monitor implementation of annual action plan.
• Represent the Club officially.

Vice President

• Assist the President.
• Coordinate rehearsals.
• Supervise committee members.

General Secretary

• Maintain minutes.
• Maintain attendance.
• Issue notices.

Treasurer

• Maintain expenditure register.
• Maintain stock register.
• Submit utilization records.

Meetings

The Club shall conduct:

• Minimum one Meeting every month
• Executive Committee meetings as required
• Emergency meetings with permission of Faculty Coordinator

Quorum

One-third of the members shall constitute the quorum.

Financial Management

All financial transactions shall:

• Be approved by the Faculty Coordinator.
• Follow College Financial Rules.
• Be supported by bills/vouchers.
• Be subject to audit, wherever applicable.

No member shall independently collect funds in the name of the Club.

Code of Conduct

Every member shall:

• Maintain discipline.
• Attend rehearsals punctually.
• Respect fellow performers.
• Maintain decorum during performances.
• Protect institutional property.
• Follow anti-ragging regulations.
• Follow gender sensitization norms.
• Avoid discrimination of any kind.
• Uphold the dignity of AGC.

Attendance

Minimum attendance: 75%
Failure to maintain attendance without valid reason may result in suspension from performances.

Certificates shall be issued with approval of the competent authority.
