MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the Department of Artifical Intelligence And Machine Learning at Amritsar Group oF Colleges.
Ever since its inception in the year 2002 with an initial intake of 60 seats in B.Tech, the department has grown by leaps and bounds, not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality. Current it has intake of 180 seats in B.Tech, 18 seats in M.Tech and 25 seats in B.Vocational. The department invites renowned experts from industry and academia to organize numerous guest seminars, seminars and conferences. The department promotes an active industrial institute interface by participating in sponsored research and consulting services. The department gives exposure to its students, about regular engineering curriculum as well as prepares them to face the challenges of today's corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude in them. The department is proud of running various international certification programs in ORACLE, JAVA, CCNA & HCNA under Ideal Engineer Plan (IEP) which provides an edge to the students over the students from other institutes. Center of Excellence in Big Data Analytics and Cyber Security & Forensics has been established with a grant of Rs. 80 Lakhs from FIST, where students can explore the career-options in Data Analytics, Data Sciences and Data security.
The department invites recognized experts from industry and academia to organize many invited seminars, workshops and conferences. The department promotes an active industrial institute interface by participating in sponsored research and consulting services. The long term objective of the department is to contribute in the research and consultancy projects from Government as well as from other reputed companies. On placement aspect, department has done exceedingly well with students working in reputed multinationals like Wipro, TCS, Oracle, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Polaris, IBM and many more. Recently, the college signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. to provide training, HCNA certification and student placement assistance. Due to all these initiatives and the efforts of the department, it is still the first choice of all students applying for admission at AGC. As a team, we sincerely welcome young talents who are interested in learning, training or innovating in the field of engineering. So come join us.
