Artifical Intelligence And Machine Learning department is one of the premium departments of AGC as it strives to educate student for the requirements of the industry. The department is continuously working to inculcate technical skills in the budding engineers so that they can make an impact in the society. Ever since its inception in the year 2002 with an initial intake of 60 seats in B. Tech, the Department has grown by leaps and bounds, not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality.
Highly qualified, hardworking and experienced teachers are constantly involved in developing the skills of the students in the department. The department gives exposure to its students, about regular engineering curriculum as well as prepares them to face the challenges of today's corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude in them. The department is proud of running various international certification programs in ORACLE, JAVA, CCNA & HCNA under Ideal Engineer Plan (IEP) which provides an edge to the students over the students from other institutes. Center of Excellence in Big Data Analytics and Cyber Security & Forensics has been established with a grant of Rs. 80 Lakhs from FIST, where students can explore the career-options in Data Analytics, Data Science and Data Security.

The long term objective of the department is to contribute in the research and consultancy projects from Government as well as from other reputed companies. On placement aspect, department has done exceedingly well with students working in reputed multinationals like Wipro, TCS, Oracle, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Polaris, IBM and many more. Recently, the college and Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding to provide students with training, HCNA certification, and placement assistance. Due to all these initiatives and efforts of the department, it remains the first choice of all students applying for AGC.
