Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has been offering the following programs– D. Pharm, B. Pharm, M. Pharm Pharmaceutics, M. Pharm Pharmacognosy and Pharm D. The courses are approved by Pharmacy Council of India- New Delhi, Govt. of Punjab, and affiliated to IKGPTU, Kapurthala and PSBTE&IT, Chandigarh. Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is well equipped with demonstration room, pharmacy labs, Audio-visual aids including audio systems and LCD projectors, Library and seminar room. The primary focus of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is to impart knowledge to students about the functioning, mechanism, efficacy, and safety of drugs and to promote their problem-solving skills, with the objective to help them choose rational drug treatments based on proven scientific research. Students are given training through didactic lectures, problem-based learning, assignments, tests and tutorials, practical classes in the pharmacy field etc.
