Dr. Pooja Puri (B.Com, M.Com, MBA, PGDCA, Ph.D.) is presently serving as Professor and Head, Department of Management Studies, Amritsar Group of Colleges, Amritsar. With over 25 years of rich teaching experience, she has made significant contributions to academics and research. Her scholarly achievements include more than 35 research publications, six books, over 35 paper presentations at national and international conferences, and one patent to her credit. She is an active member of ISTE, India, and has played a pivotal role in major academic quality initiatives, including NAAC accreditation and Autonomous status processes. As an academic leader, mentor, and motivator, she has guided numerous students in research projects and continues to provide visionary leadership to the department.
Established in 2004, the Department of Management Studies, as part of an autonomous institution, is committed to academic excellence, curriculum innovation, and outcome-based education. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in B.Com (Honours), BBA, and MBA, designed to develop strong business acumen, analytical thinking, leadership capabilities, and ethical values.
The curriculum is regularly updated in alignment with industry trends and societal needs, and is delivered through experiential and participative learning approaches, including workshops, seminars, case studies, projects, internships, industry interactions, MOOCs, and value-added courses.
