Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) marked a significant milestone with its 7th Convocation and Annual Prize Distribution Function on February 8, 2025, honouring the achievements of its proud students. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, with Dr. Montu M. Patel, President of the Pharmacy Council of India, serving as the Chief Guest. Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal, IAS, attended as the Guest of Honour, while Sushil Kumar Bansal, President of Punjab Pharmacy Council, was the Special Guest. Dr. Patel brings extensive experience in pharmaceutical education and digitalization, having trained over 65,000 pharmacists and pioneered India's first paperless pharmacy council.
The ceremony witnessed the conferral of degrees to 500 graduating students. Meritorious students who demonstrated exceptional academic brilliance were honoured with Gold and Silver medals in recognition of their outstanding performances. Esteemed college dignitaries, including Registrars, Deans, Heads, Faculty Members, and proud parents, were present to celebrate the occasion.
In his address, Dr. Patel lauded AGC's contributions to education and societal development, assuring full support for student growth. Drawing from his experience of modernizing pharmaceutical education in Gujarat, he emphasized the importance of embracing digital transformation and global standards in pharmacy education. His vision of creating "Pharmacists of the World" resonated with the institution's commitment to excellence. Chairman AGC Advocate Sh. Amit Sharma extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and encouraged them to strive for excellence, remarking,"Success is not a destination but a journey, and AGC is proud to nurture young minds who are ready to conquer new heights." The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem, marking another successful chapter in AGC's journey of academic excellence.
