Cake Mixing Ceremony at ACET

Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology’s Department of Hotel Management organized its annual event namely Cake Mixing Ceremony in accordance with the upcoming days of the Christmas Celebrations.
The Principals of esteemed schools i.e. Mrs. Rama Mahajan (Principal, Ajit Vidyalya, Amritsar); Mrs. Veena Piplani (Principal, Shazadanand Senior Secondary School, Amritsar); Mrs. Harjeet Kaur (Principal, Pathshala Senior Secondary School, Amritsar); Mr. Satinder Singh (Principal, SSSS School, Amritsar); Mr. Karanbir Singh (Principal, Mussorie International School, Jandiala Guru); Mrs. Balwinder Kaur (Principal, Govt. Girls Sen. Sec. School, Batala); Mrs. Manjit Sangha (Director, Gems Cambridge International School, Batala); Mr. Sanjeev Kumar (Principal, Des Raj DAV Public Sr. Sec. School, Muradpura) marked their presence in the ceremony and participated in the event graciously and had a lot of fun and a wonderful experience.
All were warmly welcomed with the traditional welcoming ceremony of AGC and after that they assorted the ingredients of the fruit cake like Mixed Peels, Prunes, Brown Sugar and a lot more in which they also added wine and liquor up to some extent.
On the occasion, AGC’s worthy Director Finance Madam Ragini Sharma, respected Dr. Rajneesh Arora (MD, AGC) and respected Principal, ACET, Dr. V. K. Banga and the other faculty members of AGC honored the guests by presenting them organic plants grown in the AGC Agro Farm as mementos.
Cake mixing is the event when all the ingredients of festive fruit cake are marinated together with wine and liquor one month before Christmas and then on the occasion, is distributed to all the friends, family & relatives. The history of this engrossing Ceremony of Cake Mixing dates back to the 17th century, and it also marked the arrival of the harvest season.
