In a vibrant celebration of academic brilliance, Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC), Amritsar, in collaboration with Springdales English School, Changran, Kathua, hosted a grand felicitation ceremony to honour the exceptional performance of Class 12 students from Kathua and surrounding regions. Held on the school campus, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 students representing more than 50 schools.
The "City Toppers Felicitation Ceremony" was not just a celebration of success—it was a testament to AGC’s mission of nurturing talent, rewarding merit, and guiding the youth toward fulfilling and future-ready careers. The event drew a distinguished audience including proud parents, respected teachers, and dignitaries from the education sector.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma, CEO Kathua, who commended the relentless efforts and dedication of the young achievers. In his inspiring address, he encouraged students to aim higher, pursue their dreams passionately, and stay focused on their goals. He also praised AGC for its initiative in fostering academic excellence beyond Amritsar.
As a gesture of appreciation and motivation, AGC announced generous scholarships for meritorious students. The top three district rankers were awarded 100% scholarships to pursue any course at Amritsar Group of Colleges. Additional scholarships included 30% for those scoring 90% and above, 20% for those with 80% and above, and 10% for those securing 70% and above. Furthermore, AGC offered 100% scholarships for the international iDegree program—an online degree initiative by Woosong University, South Korea—providing students with global learning opportunities.
Dr. Dipti Malhotra, Dean Campus Relations at AGC Amritsar, inspired the students with her insightful session, highlighting the importance of making informed academic and career choices. Adding further value to the event was a psychometric testing session led by renowned career expert Mr. Arvind Mahajan, held at the Atal Tinkering Lab of Springdales. The session offered career guidance based on aptitude, interest, and personality traits—helping students identify suitable career paths early in their journey.
